How to reach Phuket

• Flight time: Flights to Phuket from Ireland usually take around 14 to 18 hours, depending on your route and stopovers. There's no direct flight from Dublin, so most routes involve a connection in cities like Bangkok, Doha, or Frankfurt.

• Transfer time: From Phuket International Airport, getting to Phuket Town takes roughly 1 hour 20 minutes by the orange airport bus, or about 45 minutes to an hour by taxi. Other destinations such as Patong or Karon are usually reached by taxi, shuttle or shared minivan.

• Price: The airport bus is good value at around B120 (approx. €3). Taxis typically range from B500–B1,000 (€13–€24) depending on your destination. Shared minivans cost about B200 (€5), but you may need to wait until they fill up.
