How to reach Seychelles

• Flight time: Flights to Seychelles from the UK take around 13 to 15 hours. Direct flights are rare, but you can fly to Mahé, the main island, via hubs in Europe or the Middle East.

• Transfer time: Once you land at Seychelles International Airport on Mahé, it's about a 10 to 15-minute taxi ride to the capital, Victoria, or around 20 to 25 minutes by bus. From there, ferries and boats are available to the other islands. Connecting flights also leave Mahé for the other main islands. Some hotels offer airport transfers, so ask about this when booking.

• Price: A taxi from the airport to Victoria will cost about SR300–SR400 (€17–€23), while the bus fare is SR7 (€0.40). Shuttle services provided by some resorts can be pricey, but more convenient.
