Top sights
One of the most stunning places to visit during your trip has to be Prague Castle. This fairy tale place has been called the largest ancient castle in the world. Dating back to the 9 century, it’s incredible just how pristine it looks.
It’s difficult to get away from the historic hotspots in Prague, so our next mention would have to go to the medieval Charles Bridge. Wander along here to take in the city views and soak up the atmosphere.
Other stand-out destinations include ancient churches like Saint Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady Victorious, and for something a little quirkier, pop down to see the Astronomical Clock in the Old Town. This elaborate machine dates from the early 15 century.
Entertainment
Whether you’re looking for a night out, or a fun-packed day there’s something for everyone in Prague.
During the day you could go to Prague Zoo or visit one of the city’s many museums and galleries like the House of the Black Madonna or the National Museum of Prague.
For a cultured evening, see what’s on at The National Theatre, which is also beautifully set alongside the Vltava River. Pop to Municipal House, an Art Nouveau building that’s also a concert hall, or see the State Opera. And for a fun night out grab a drink at one of Prague’s buzzing nightlife spots like Hemingway Bar or Anonymous Bar.
Dining
There’s certainly no shortage of places to dine on authentic Czech food in Prague, so make your way to one of the great local eateries while you’re there.
Favourites with tourists and locals alike include Restaurant Alcron, CzecHouse Grill & Rotisserie and Nase Maso, and you can splash out a little if you’re after something a little fancier at Terasa u Zlate Studne.
